Nice to meet you!

Shane Forrest (they/them)

Hi! I’m Shane. I’m an Anishinaabe-Métis Two-Spirit and Non-Binary helper living in nogojiwanong, Ontario. My practice is rooted in community with over 15 years of experience in peer support, group facilitation, front line crisis intervention, and grassroots community organizing. I have primarily worked with young people, 2SLGBTQQIA+ folks, and Indigenous communities.

I deeply values harm reduction and self-determination in healing work. My approach is person-centered, relational, culturally grounded, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities including internal family systems, emotions-focused therapy, narrative therapy, generative somatics, and attachment-based therapy. I strive to provide a warm and affirming space as a collaborator on your personal healing journey.

I am a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) in good standing.

If any part of this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out – I’d be grateful to get to know you.
